Terms and Conditions

We provide gowns for your comfort (where applicable). However, we
would advise clients to wear loose comfortable clothing and we cannot
accept responsibility for any damage caused to clothing whilst on the
premises or post treatment, in particular if you are having bronzing
treatments some tanning creams can cause staining.

We regret that we cannot be held responsible for loss or damage of
personal articles and we advise that you keep all valuables with you
during your appointment.

How do I make an appointment?
You can either telephone the salon directly or visit us in person. We
advise that you make your reservation in advance to ensure availability
and to avoid disappointment. Deposits may be required to secure your
treatment.

Can I request a specific therapist?
Where possible we will always try to accommodate specific requests.
Please ensure that you make your request when booking your
treatment time.

Is there a minimum age?
Due to medical and legal advice we are unable to carry out treatments
on persons below the age of 18 years (Including Sunbeds).

What if I am uncomfortable during a treatment?
Please ensure that you inform your therapist if you are too hot/cold.
If your position is not comfortable or the therapist pressure is not
enjoyable. We will endeavour to adjust or change technique to suit you.

Post Treatment - What next?
We believe that since the effects of a single treatment will only last a
short time, it is our professional responsibility to advise on further
treatments and products to be used at home, as well as advise on
what to do immediately after your treatment. Some treatments may
have specific effects and therefore may require specific information.

Are there and Medical Conditions that may inhibit me from having
treatments?

All treatments are carried out subject to a health questionnaire. Certain
health conditions may preclude you from having some of the treatments. If you have any concerns then please check with us when
making your appointment (and where applicable your doctor) these
include heart conditions, pregnancy, respiratory problems, recent surgery, diabetes/epilepsy, metal pins/plates, skin disorders, pacemakers or high/low blood pressure.

Medical Conditions
Please let us know if you are taking medication for any medical condition.

Pregnancy
We need to know if you are pregnant even if to the rest of the world
its obvious.

General Treatment Advice - Very Important Information
Food - Always allow at least 1 hour to digest your meals before having
treatments.

Alcohol - Never consume alcohol before any treatment.
Medical conditions - If you have any of the following it is essential to
tell your therapist before your treatment:

  • Pacemaker
  • Heart Condition
  • Diabetes
  • Allergies
  • Epilepsy
  • Contact Lenses
  • Pregnancy
  • Metal Plates / Pins / Coil

Some electrical treatments are prohibited if you suffer from these conditions.

Waxing
Do not have treatments or undertake exercise (eg sauna, sunbed,
Jacuzzi, workout or swim etc.) Less than 8 hours before or 24 hours
after your wax. Avoid deodorant. Don't wear "Best" underwear for
Bikini wax. Avoid normal deodorant after under arm wax. We can
supply you with sensitive deodorant to use 3 days after your wax.

Chequers is officially appointed stockist of
Clarins, Nailtiques, Jessica, Skin Doctors, Wella, Bio Sculpture
Guinot, Kerastase & St Tropez.

Payment
Most Credit Cards are acceptable, cash & Debit cards. No Cheques.
All prices include value added tax at current rate.

Cancellation Policy
Your time of appointment and treatment type have been reserved especially for you, on your request. If you need to change or cancel
your appointment, please give 24 hours notice. Cancellations after
10:00am on the day of your appointment will incur 50% charge, if any part of a booking is cancelled or changed after arrival, the full cost of the treatment(s) as booked will be payable on departure.

Non attendance will be charged in full. If outstanding cancellation fees are unpaid. No future booking will be accepted.

Booking Policy Deposits
A £20.00 deposit will be taken on all bookings over 60 minute treatments and all treatments before 9:00am & after 5:00pm. No booking is guaranteed without card details or a cash deposit.

Booking Confirmation
We will endeavour to text, e-mail or telephone you on the day or day before your appointment as a courtesy service but not guaranteed. It will be your responsibility to confirm your appointment to avoid any unnecessary cancellation fees.

Punctuality and Courtesy
As acourtesy to other clients following your appointment, late arrivals will results in a reduction of treatment time. Please do not ask the impossible, we will endeavour to carry out what we can within the time slot allocated. All times stated include preparation of room and

Mobile Phones
Please switch off mobile phones before and during your visit to the salon. You will be asked to conform to this policy.

Courses
Most treatments are available in a course, please enquire at reception.

Consultation
We are aware that many ofyou may be confused as to which treatment best suits your specific requirements. We are of course, pleased to offer you up-to-date information and advice with a complimentary consultatoin in the strictest of confidence. Please allow 10 minutes prior to your first appointment for a consultation with our fully qualified Beauty Therapists & Hair Stylists.

Hygiene
Salon Hygiene is, ofcourse, the utmost importance and to achieve optimal cleanliness all oursterilisation equipment is approved by the local Environmental Health Officer. We only use new sterilised disposable needles for each client.

Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers can either be brought in multiples of £5.00 or for specific treatments. They are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase and can be used on any beauty treatments or products at any Chequers Salons. There is no cash redemption. Lost vouchers cannot be replaced.

Personal Products
Chequers cannot take any responsibility for any tanning lotions or
accelerators left on the premises. All lotions left entirely at your own risk.

We reserve the right to dispose of any lotions remaining on the premises 12 months after the date of purchase.
